Occupational Therapist (Closed)
Requirements: ·
At least 1 year working with individuals with autism
· Masters level degree in Occupational Therapy
· Active good standing registration with the College ofOccupational Therapists of Ontario
· Vulnerable sector screening
· Flexible schedule
As an Occupational Therapist, you will be required toperform the following duties and undertake the following responsibilities in aprofessional manner:
· Collaborate with Sunshine Learning Centre to utilizeoccupational therapy and teach sensory regulation skills, daily living skills,and motor skills using evidence-based methods.
· Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate individuals'functional abilities, strengths, and areas of need. · Develop individualizedtreatment plans based on assessment findings, in collaboration with theindividual, family, and interdisciplinary team.
· Implement evidence-based occupational therapyinterventions to address identified goals and promote independence inactivities of daily living, work, school, and leisure.
· Provide education and training to staff, families, andcaregivers on adaptive techniques, equipment uses, and environmentalmodifications to enhance functioning and safety.
· Monitor progress and modify treatment plans as necessaryto achieve desired outcomes, documenting interventions and progress regularly.
· Stay current with emerging research, best practices, andtrends in occupational therapy, participating in professional developmentactivities and continuing education opportunities as required.
· Maintain records and documentation in accordance withregulatory and organizational standards.
· Participate in team meetings and collaborate withcolleagues to ensure treatment integrity.
· Collaborate with outside professionals (e.g., seniortherapist, school team, SLP) when it is appropriate and consented by theclient's family.
· Ensuring overall client satisfaction and well-being duringtheir programming. This includes but is not limited to developing rapport withthe client, establishing trust, engaging in motivating activities, andassisting the client through challenging moments.

Pay: $55-$60 per hour
Instructor Therapist (Closed)
Requirements:
- At least two years of experience with learners who have autism or other additional needs (at least one year of experience providing ABA services to learners with autism preferred)
- A certificate in Autism and Behavioural Sciences or equivalent certification (or a certificate that is currently being completed)
- Access to a computer and the internet on a regular basis
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent team work and interpersonal skills
- Vulnerable sector screening check
